Hello friends! Tomorrow starts a new month and a new year!
I wanted to leave this following story with you to say goodbye to one year and hello to another!

The following is what I want to share with you and it's way good!.......

Your soul, made in the image of God, will exist forever. I think Billy Sunday the evangelist said it this way. “Imagine a little bird taking a grain of sand and flying to a distant planet. It would take him a million years to fly to that distant planet. Then he would drop that grain of sand. Then the little bird would fly back to the earth taking him a million years. He gets another grain of sand and flies back to the distant planet. Back and forth, back and forth it goes. When he will have transplanted every speck of earth to that distant planet, it will only be breakfast time in eternity.” Your soul will go on, and on, and on. ♥

Hello Everyone!
What a Beautiful Day today!

The Machine That Didn't Act Up

In 1968 my husband, Billy, was about to go to Vietnam,
leaving me in Nashville with a three-year-old, a second child on the way-
and an erratic old washing machine. Every morning the machine would
merely complete it's wash cycle and then stop dead, it's tub full of soapy, undrained water.
Billy had a way of fixing the machine: taking the top off, jiggling a wire. But what would we do when Billy went away? In the meantime I prayed for Billy's safe return to us, and I didn't think about the washing machine until the day after he left.
That morning I reluctantly filled the machine with dirty clothes and then said, "Lord, what am I going to do with a three-year-old, a new baby and a busted washer? Please, God, help me through this."
An hour later I returned to the machine and...to my amazement...the clothes had gone through a complete wash and rinse, and were now ready for the dryer! For days after that the washer continued to work perfectly. Soon I forgot the problem altogether.
In January 1969 Billy came safely home. He brought a duffel bag of dirty clothes. That very day I threw them into the machine and quickly returned to the living room to be with Billy as he got to know our new son.
An hour later I went back to the washing machine. Can you guess what I found?
Soapy, undrained water!
I could only laugh and feel more blessed than ever. Billy was home and the washer was back to it's old dirty tricks! -Annette Sims

HAPPY BIRTHDAY,
LORD JESUS CHRIST !

MERRY TIFTON!

"And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them; and they were so afraid. The angel said unto them, 'Fear not; for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.'" — Book of St. Luke, 1:9-11

The story of the birth of Christ is one of the most beautiful stories in all of scripture. It tells us how God sent the Lord Jesus Christ, the Messiah. The baby Jesus came to the world for the sole purpose of saving all people by bringing God’s kingdom to all people. This story is the beginning of the story of our salvation through His death and resurrection. This is the birthday of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

But I’m sad it appears we have forgotten the true meaning of Christmas. Let me tell you a story. It’s based on an old television show called the "Millionaire," a show that some of you may remember...

Once upon a time, many years ago, in a distant land far across the ocean, there lived a man who was rich and wealthy beyond our wildest dreams. His name was John Bearsforth Tifton. Mr. Tifton had so much wealth, he had the habit of giving a million dollars away to many chosen recipients. His associate, one Michael Anthony, replete with his top hat, and briefcase with a million dollar cashier's check enclosed, would drop in on the recipients. Mr. Anthony would approach these unsuspecting people and announce that they were chosen to receive this gift of a million dollars from Mr. Tifton. Henceforth, they would be considered heirs to his estate, they would be given the Tifton name, and receive all the benefits as heirs to his estate.

As the years went by, Mr. Tifton died but he set up his estate so that chosen benefactors would continue to receive a million dollar bequest. Over the course of hundreds of years, many, many people became his benefactors, and were given the name, Tifton.

These Tiftons, now numbered in the millions, decided it would be a good idea to have a yearly celebration remembering the birth of Mr. Tifton. You see, this was virtually a millionaire's club. In no time at all this celebration began to be the biggest holiday of the year for Tiftons everywhere.

Over the centuries, Tiftons all over the world were celebrating the birth of Mr. Tifton, and many traditions grew around this holiday. There was Tifton tree, Tifton cards, Tifton gifts that all the Tiftons would exchange. The celebration of Tifton became the biggest event of the season.

However there was a very troubling development, and this happened particularly in America, I'm sad to say. People who had never received the gift were celebrating Tifton. They would do many of the things the heirs of Mr. Tifton would do, however these people had no idea who Mr. Tifton was. They would say "Merry Tifton" to each other, but had no idea why they were saying it.

Over all those centuries, the estate of Mr. Tifton kept growing and growing, so one Tifton Eve, the descendant of Michael Anthony set out to give more people the gift of Tifton, the one million dollar gift. He boarded an airplane and flew to America, his briefcase laden with checks.

When he arrived in America on Tifton Eve, he went into one of the department stores, and a sign flashed out loudly, "Only one more day until Tifton." Everywhere there were Tifton sales, Tifton lights, and speakers were blaring Tifton songs. Mr. Anthony thought it strange that very few of these things said anything about Mr. Tifton. Instead, these were songs about reindeer and Santa Claus, and there was even one called "I'm Dreaming of a White Tifton."

Mr. Anthony checked his list of people who were about to receive the check for a million dollars. He went to the home of his first recipient. She was just arriving home, taking shopping bags out of her car. He said, "excuse me, Miss, I have great news. You have been selected to become an heir of Mr. John Bearsforth Tifton, and inside this envelope I have a check for one million dollars for you."...But before he could finish, she said "I’m really busy right now getting ready for Tifton, but thank you.” She took the envelope, but thought it was junk mail. She threw it in the trash, and never opened it to see the check for one million dollars. What a pity!

Mr. Anthony found his next recipient at a Tifton party. Strange, he thought. Most of these people are falling down drunk. The men and women were embracing each other saying "Merry Tifton." Embarrassingly, Mr. Anthony found the next woman embracing another young woman! He tapped her on the shoulder and said, "Excuse me, but you have been chosen to receive the gift of Mr. Tifton, I have here...." but before he could finish the young woman turned and said, "Who is this weirdo? are all your friends like this?” She walked away.

The woman became very upset with Mr. Anthony, and said "You get out of my face, before I belt you! You just ruined my whole Tifton!" Mr. Anthony left the envelope, but she never opened it to receive the gift of the million dollars.

And so it was with all the people who were to receive the gift of Tifton. No one opened the envelope. Everyone celebrated Tifton, but no one received the gift Mr. Tifton wanted to give them.•

I hope you understood that the meaning of this parable is that Mr. Tifton is like God . God wants every person to have the gift of Salvation. It is more valuable that a million dollars. The gift God gave us is Jesus Christ. We celebrate His birth on Christmas day. Jesus offers each of us the eternal gift of life. We all have a huge inheritance waiting for us. It is not an inheritance of money, but it is something even more valuable. God is simply asking us to receive the gift of Jesus Christ. The inheritance of the kingdom awaits us.

Let us receive this gift, and give thanks to our great benefactor, Jesus Christ. ♥

AMEN

December's Bible Studies

There are so many wonderful things for us at this time of year. Beautiful trees, displays of lights and different special decorations, all placed by loving hands to bring us joy. There are gifts carefully chosen just for us, cookies and cakes fill our houses with delightful smells, wonderful music echoes throughout, the type of which is reserved but for this special time alone. In the midst of this seasonal grandeur, let us never forget the reason for the season.

We celebrate His birth each year, to remember graciously the everlasting gift that our Father in Heaven gave to us. Through a virgin He was born, in a manger in Bethlehem, The Lord Jesus Christ. Look out at the night sky and see the most sparkling star which made Christ known to the wise men, and lead them to Him.

What does Christ use to lead you to Him?

He calls us this day. Let's go...

THE FOUR HORSEMEN PREPARE TO RIDE!

“THE COMING OF THE LORD
DRAWETH NIGH ”
(James 5:8)
______________

WHEN IS HE COMING?
No man knoweth. It may be at any moment.
For Jesus said, “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no not the angels of heaven, but My Father only.” (Mark 13:32)
“Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. (Matthew 24:36-42)
37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

WHY IS HE COMING?
To receive His own unto Himself. (See John 14:3).
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
That they may escape the “great tribulation” coming upon the earth. (Matthew 24:21)
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

HOW IS HE COMING?
IN PERSON
And “as a thief in the night”. (1 Thessalonians 5:2)
2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. -
(Matthew 24:44)

WHERE SHALL WE MEET HIM?
God’s Word says, “In the air.” (1 Thessalonians 4:16 &17)-
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

WHAT ARE THE SIGNS TO PROVE THAT
HE MAY COME AT ANY MOMENT?

God’s Word says, “In the last days perilous times shall come.”

THERE SHALL BE:
“Trucebreakers.”
“Traitors.”
“Boasters.”
“Blasphemers.”
“Despisers of those that are good.”
“Disobedience to parents.”
“Lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God.”
(2 Timothy 3:1-5)
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
(Daniel 12:4) - “Many running to and fro, and the increase of knowledge.”
4 But you, O Daniel, shut up the words and seal the Book until the time of the end. [Then] many shall run to and fro and search anxiously [through the Book], and knowledge [of God's purposes as revealed by His prophets] shall be increased and become great.
(Matthew 24:7) - 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
(James 5:3) - Rich men heaping up “treasure for the last days.”
3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.
(II Peter 3: 3-4) -‘Scoffers’ saying,
“Where is the promise of His coming? All things continue as they were.”
3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
“Abstainers from meats, and “those forbidding to marry.”
“Seducing spirits”
“Doctrines of devils.” (1 Timothy 4:1-4)
1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving .

‘DOCTRINES OF DEVILS’
SUCH AS:
And doctrines denying the blood of Jesus Christ and ‘that He is come in the flesh.”
(II John 1:7) - 7 For many imposters (seducers, deceivers, and false leaders) have gone out into the world, men who will not acknowledge (confess, admit) the coming of Jesus Christ (the Messiah) in bodily form. Such a one is the imposter (the seducer, the deceiver, the false leader, the antagonist of Christ) and the antichrist.

ARE YOU READY TO MEET THE “LORD
HIMSELF” AT ANY MOMENT?
If not, you will have to stay behind to go through
the ‘great tribulation’ that is coming upon the earth.

WHAT DOES THE ‘GREAT TRIBULATION’ MEAN?

“A time of trouble such as never was.” (Daniel 12:1)
1 And at that time [of the end] Michael shall arise, the great [angelic] prince who defends and has charge of your [Daniel's] people. And there shall be a time of trouble, straitness, and distress such as never was since there was a nation till that time. But at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone whose name shall be found written in the book .
(Matthew 24:21) 21 For then there will be great tribulation (affliction, distress, and oppression) such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now--no, and never will be again.
(1 Thessalonians 5:3) 3 When people are saying, All is well and secure, and, There is peace and safety, then in a moment unforeseen destruction (ruin and death) will come upon them as suddenly as labor pains come upon a woman with child; and they shall by no means escape, for there will be no escape.
(Luke 21:36) 36 Keep awake then and watch at all times [be discreet, attentive, and ready], praying that you may have the full strength and ability and be accounted worthy to escape all these things [taken together] that will take place, and to stand in the presence of the Son of Man.
(Isaiah 26:21) 21 For behold, the Lord is coming out of His place [heaven] to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity; the earth also will disclose the blood shed upon her and will no longer cover her slain and conceal her guilt.
Read for yourself Isaiah 24 and the Book of Revelation.

SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES

“Flee from the wrath to come,” and plead the blood of Jesus Christ
that “cleanseth us from all sin.”
“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men.
Teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world”;
“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ;”
“Who gave Himself for us, tat He might redeem us from ALL iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.”
“These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority.” (Titus 2:11-15)
11 For the grace of God (His unmerited favor and blessing) has come forward (appeared) for the deliverance from sin and the eternal salvation for all mankind.
12 It has trained us to reject and renounce all ungodliness (irreligion) and worldly (passionate) desires, to live discreet (temperate, self-controlled), upright, devout (spiritually whole) lives in this present world,
13 Awaiting and looking for the [fulfillment, the realization of our] blessed hope, even the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One),
14 Who gave Himself on our behalf that He might redeem us (purchase our freedom) from all iniquity and purify for Himself a people [to be peculiarly His own, people who are] eager and enthusiastic about [living a life that is good and filled with] beneficial deeds.(A)
15 Tell [them all] these things. Urge (advise, encourage, warn) and rebuke with full authority. Let no one despise or disregard or think little of you [conduct yourself and your teaching so as to command respect].
“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine. They shall turn away their ears from the truth. But watch thou in all things.” (II Timothy 4:3-5)
3 For the time is coming when [people] will not tolerate (endure) sound and wholesome instruction, but, having ears itching [for something pleasing and gratifying], they will gather to themselves one teacher after another to a considerable number, chosen to satisfy their own liking and to foster the errors they hold,
4 And will turn aside from hearing the truth and wander off into myths and man-made fictions.
5 As for you, be calm and cool and steady, accept and suffer unflinchingly every hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fully perform all the duties of your ministry.
“Take ye heed, watch and pray, for ye know not when the time is.” (Mark 13:33)
33 Be on your guard [constantly alert], and watch and pray; for you do not know when the time will come.
“And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.” (Mark 13:37)
37 And what I say to you I say to everybody: Watch (give strict attention, be cautious, active, and alert)!
Beloved in the Lord, encourage and “comfort one another with these words.”
Weary ones, you who are sad and lonely, afflicted and tempest-tossed, “look up and lift up your heads:” for “when these things begin to come to pass, your redemption draweth nigh.” and “unto all them that love His appearing,” there is laid up “a crown of righteousness.”
Above all, rejoice that Jesus “shall see the travail of His soul and be satisfied.” -
“Who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross.” “and became obedient unto death.”
“Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, Come Lord Jesus.”

Dear Sinner, none can say, “Come, Lord Jesus” except they are washed in His “precious blood.” Will you not accept Him and take Him at His word?
-for He says, “Him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out.” He has done it all-
You have nothing to do but “Repent.” -accept, believe, trust; and in loving Him, you too “will have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.”
“And the Spirit and the Bride say, come. And let him that heareth say come; and whosoever will, take the water of life freely.” “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.”
“The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen!” •

Hello Friends!
What a beautiful Thanksgiving week!

I hope everything is going good today!

****************************

About the Bible. Consider this:
Over a period of 1,600 years, 40 different authors wrote the 66 books of the Bible. There were 400 silent years between the 39 books of the Old Testament and the 27 of the New Testament.
Yet, Genesis to Revelation tell one unified story!

-All Praises to our Amazing God Jehovah! The Great I AM!-

I have something I want to share with you about Thanksgiving.
I hope you enjoy it :

Christian Martyrs

"The Hidden Stones in Our Foundation"

THE FIRST THANKSGIVING 1621

In 1603, King James of England resolved to exercise his authority over the government and the church of England. He opposed those who wanted to bring the Church of England's teaching and practices in line with the Bible.

A group of Puritans who were known as separatists were not willing to support the Church of England. They believed that the Church was under the leadership of Christ- not the king.

One congregation of Separatists gathered in Scrooby, where they were ridiculed by their neighbors, brought into court by magistrates, and constrained to keep quiet about what God was teaching them. They decided to move to Holland so they could worship freely. Although King James refused their request to leave England, they left anyway in secret. One group was arrested twice, as it was illegal to emigrate without government permission. (Sounds like many communist nations today!)

In Holland, the Separatists encountered difficulties as part of being "Pilgrims", wanderers in a foreign land. Though fearful, they were compelled to be "advancing the gospel of the kingdom of Christ in those remoter parts of the world."

In 1620, they chartered two ships- the Speedwell and the Mayflower-to take them to the New World. After many complications with the Speedwell, it was abandoned and it's 102 passengers crowded onto the Mayflower. Upon dropping anchor in Cape Cod, they fell on their knees thanking God.

Their difficulties were not over. These pilgrims drew up a constitution, called the Mayflower Compact, introducing a measure of order. (Not all of the passengers who came to America were Christians and therefore came with different motives.)

Then the cold winter hit, and hunger and disease struck their group. Only 19 of the 41 men who signed the Compact survived, and 14 out of the 18 married women died. Yet in 1621, after they had reaped their first harvest, they held a celebration of thanksgiving to God over a meal that included wild turkey.

Each year, on the fourth Thursday in November, millions of Americans will be gathering together around a turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce to express our gratitude to God for the things that He has provided for us. But, in the midst of our feasting, let us remember those who died and suffered much so that generations following could worship our Heavenly Father freely in what is now known as the United States of America. •

Although something may look broken and worthless, It's always worth taking a second look. We might just see something others have missed. As far as value and worth, there might be a happy ending after all. Things aren't always what they seem.*

All through this Sunday, Dear Lord, please give me peace. Peace that no matter what may come, You are in control. I'll remember this often, as I go through my daily routine, and I ask Your blessing on me so that I may do well in my efforts this day. Please grant me strength, wisdom and love to make this a good day. Remember always my love for You, Dear Lord. Amen.

My Hand in God's

Each morn at break of day,
I put my hand in His and pray.
I know He's ever at my side,
Every wandering step to guide
.

At evening as I seek my rest,

I realize how I am so blessed.

My thanks I offer Him and then

I put my hand in God's again.

I thank You deeply for all You do for me. This day and every day, my Savior. Amen.

He will answer

There's no problem too big, And no question too small; Just ask God in faith, And He'll answer them all. Not all at once, So be patient and wait; For God never comes Too soon or too late.

And find my greatest need each day
is just to worship God and pray.

This message is from David Wilkerson
Thursday, August 20, 2009;
Yet so fitting for today. I have to share it with you:

DAYS OF EXCITEMENT

God, in his love and mercy, is allowing disasters to strike the earth to warn all who hear that Jesus is coming back, and that it’s time to get ready. He loves his children too much to bring his new kingdom to pass without warning. He knows that mankind is hard of hearing and that it takes disasters of earthquake proportions to get his attention. These disasters are a kind of countdown, too painful to ignore, allowed by God to set the stage for the final moments of time. These labor pains will become more frequent and intense as we approach the last hour. “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh” (Luke 21:28).

Does it all sound scary? Is the truth frightening? Is it really possible that the end of the world is upon us? Is this the very point in time that all the prophets in the Bible predicted would come? Can even the most devout Christians remotely understand how terribly close this earth is to midnight hour? One thing is certain—everything appears to be falling apart, as far as the natural eye can discern.

Dear friend, hear what the Holy Spirit spoke to me about these days. Just five little words, but so powerful that they awakened in me a glorious new hope and faith. Those five little words are: God has everything under control! If you trust God, you can look every disaster in the face and proclaim with confidence, “My God is speaking to this universe and his power is being demonstrated. I will just stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.”

God has everything under control, and we are under his control. God’s message for this hour is: “God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). (AMEN!)

So good to be with you, friends!

<>< <>< <>< Wednesday's prayer:

Wherever I go and whatever I do this Wednesday, I want to keep this Special Prayer with me in my heart, Dear Lord.
For it reminds me to be joyful and to have peace of mind, because You will never leave me or forsake me.
I dedicate my day to You, Lord, and I will strive to be worthy of Your blessings in all that I say and do. -Amen.

MY DAY WITH GOD By Lorna Metskas

I meet God in the morning
When my day is at it's best,
And His presence comes
like sunshine,
Like a glory in my breast!

All day long
His presence lingers;
All day long He stays with me,
And we sail in perfect calmness
Over a troubled sea.

So I think I've found the secret,
learned from many
a troubled way:
You must see Him
in the morning,
If you need Him through the day.

HE'S COMING AGAIN

Our Savior will come once more upon this earth,
Exalted on high and not of lowly birth;
He'll gather with Him all those who love His name,
He's coming again, yes, coming again.

He's coming again with angels shining bright,
In glory so fair from out the land of light;
Triumphant in pow'r, to earth He will descend,
He's coming again, yes, coming again.

He's coming again to judge the quick and dead,
The wicked shall flee before His face in dread;
The righteous shall shout and praise His holy Name,
He's coming again, yes, coming again.

He's coming again, we do not know the hour,
He told us to watch and pray to Him for pow'r;
That, come when He may, He'll find us ready then,
And waiting His coming again.

Billy Graham's daughter, Anne Graham Lotz , was on a popular news program. The interviewer asked, " Are you one of those who believe that Jesus is exclusively the only way to heaven?" He added, "You know how mad that makes people these days!" Without blinking she replied," Jesus is not exclusive. He died so that anyone could come to Him for salvation."*

I wanted to share these very important thoughts with you:

Is God righteous? Yes. And how is the righteousness of God revealed?
It is revealed “from faith to faith.” God gives you truth. You believe that truth; God gives you more truth. The more you obey the light, the more light you get. The reason some of us don’t understand the Bible any more than we do is that we haven’t been living up to the light God has already given us. It’s time we began taking God at His Word and obeying it. If we begin obeying the small things we understand, God will enlighten our path to help us understand the things we don’t understand.

The Bible is a living Book. Some have no interest in studying it. Do you understand the value of Bible study? Trust me, a daily routine of reading your Bible will change your life. I can say this because it changed mine. When we read the Bible, those are God's words. God talks to us through His Word. The Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is His written Instruction Book to mankind. It answers every important question in life. It explains how to live—and reveals the road to salvation.
First, we can ask, why study the Bible?
This is what the Word of God tells us:

II Timothy 2:15 :Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

I'm going to give you Bible studies that you can follow on a daily basis if you'd like, to read through the Bible in a year.
Daily Bible study made me very much closer to the Lord. I believe it can do the same for you.
We're already starting into the month of November next week, so we're going to start there.
I'll already post November's studies now, and I'll do this with the new month's studies just a few days before every new month so you can keep studying your Bible all year long!

"NOVEMBER'S BIBLE STUDIES"

For a warm sunbeam, coming through your window, touching you, as gently as if the Lord's hand was softly pressed against yours. For the pleasure we feel as we are kept warm. For the smell of a delicious meal cooking. For this food that our Good Lord provided, for these things and millions of others that are daily given with mercy and love unto us, let us present thanksgiving unto the Lord. We should give Him thanks every day. His Goodness is not limited to just one day a year. Every time He answers a prayer, let us give Him thanksgiving. For us to feel we can go to Him with a prayer, let us give Him thanksgiving. It's limitless.
He's waiting for us. Let's go to Him in His Word.........

A Morning Prayer

LORD of all that ever was,
Of all that is
And of all that ever shall be,
Father, Son and Spirit,
Ever three and ever one,
Rule in our lives this day.

Take each of us
And all of us,
Body soul and spirit,
And use us for your glory.

May our lips be quick to praise you,
Our hands be quick to serve you,
Our hearts be quick to trust you
And our feet be quick to follow you,
That when evening comes
We may rest the rest of the faithful,
Not by the perfection of our works,
But by the depth of your grace.

Through Jesus your Son,
Amen

May the God who gives peace make you holy in every way. May he keep your whole being-spirit, soul, and body-blameless when our Lord Jesus Christ comes. The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do this.

Dear Friends,

We live in an information crammed world today. We are bombarded with electronic messages every day. In Matthew chapter 6, Jesus talked about going into it a secret place to meet our Father in prayer. When he spoke to the churches in the book of Revelation he repeated an important word for the church today: "he who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches"(REV 2:11).

It is important to hear what the Spirit is saying to the church today. We have many other voices seeking our attention and crowding out that still quiet voice of God. I have a habit of going for a drive and inviting the Lord to go along with me. I know the Bible tells us that He will never leave us, nor forsake us, But this is different, I can talk to Him knowing He's sitting right there in the vehicle next to me. If I reach over, I can hold His hand. This is my personal opportunity to tune in to Him, and to really feel His closeness. I just want Him to know how much I love Him.
When people act cold and say, "Where is the Lord? They've been saying He's returning for centuries!, Where is He?"
What I think is: "Where closer to His return than ever before!" -
Like the virgins who did bring enough oil, so have I!
And my lamp is burning bright!
I hope yours is too! Blessings to you and yours! -Rev.Debbie ♥

Here is a Beautiful song!

The moment from yesterday that stands out most clearly to me is this: "For the foolishness of God is wiser than mans' wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength... God chose the foolish things... the weak things... the lowly things... and the despised things so that no one may boast before him. It is BECAUSE OF HIM that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us the wisdom of God -- that is our righteousness, holiness, and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: " Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord." 1 Corinthians 1:25-31

My thoughts on "the weakness of God" stop at the cross. The power of the cross stands alone. It doesn't need words of human wisdom. For those who believe - it is the power of God. (I love You Lord Jesus. Please keep walking with me, down the path that leads to You, also please keep teaching me more about You, everyday. Thank You. amen. ) ♥

Feed my Sheep

A man was visiting a family with two young children. The children looked gaunt
and sickly - like they were starving. The man said to the children, "Oh my, you
look hungry."

The older child replied, "We are sir, so hungry."

"Here, let me give you some money to buy food."

"Oh, we don't need money, sir. We have plenty of money."

"Well, then why are you hungry?"

"My mom is just busy. She has to clean the house, and she has
school that she has to study for. And she has to go to the stores. And spend time with
her friends. Then she has to drive us to soccer practice. Daddy gets home
and needs her attention and sometimes we have company and we have to do our
school work. She needs time to herself, too...for crafts and blogging.
Mom just doesn't have time to feed us."

"What?! That's ridiculous! What about your father?"

"Oh, well, my father is busy. He works everyday and then when he comes home he watches a T.V. to relax. Plus, he goes to church almost every night of the week. He has Bible study and then the church soccer league. They practice and have games. You know, a lot of people come to him for counseling and that takes up his time. When he is not busy with all of that, he likes to play video games. So, we just don't get fed."

"What do you eat? Does no one feed you?"

"Sometimes my Church School teacher gives us food. But it is only a snack and doesn't really fill us up. I wish we could eat every day. Mom says that we will eat more when we get older and learn to feed ourselves."

Aghast, the man shook his head. He gave the children a little food. Oh, it made them so happy and they enjoyed the taste so much. They wanted more, but the man was only visiting. He left them and the children didn't know when, or if they would ever eat again.

Isn't that a horrible story? The possibility of anyone starving their children - especially when it is in the power of parents to feed their little ones is beyond us. Capable and Rich, these parents neglected the feeding of their children. The feeding of The Word.

It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Matt 4:4

Aren't we doing the same thing when we neglect to feed our children's souls with God's Word? Our responsibility as parents is to TEACH our children God's Word.

I like that quote from C.S. Lewis: "You don't have a soul. You are a soul. You have a body."

You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. (Deuteronomy 6:7-9)

The opportunity - the chance to do this is short.

Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it. (Amos 8:11-12)

Hi friends! -I want to share something with you today:

One of the reasons we don't seek solitude and silence
is we are afraid of what we may hear from our hearts and from God.
Don’t be afraid of the things our Lord shows you. He loves you.

I will cherish the morning’s quiet, after the evening rain, and listen to my heart and my God.
Please do the same.

The time with the Shepherd will "restore your soul." Psalm 23:1-3

A most beautiful Pulpit:

Monday, October 11, 2010

It has been said that God will not only hold us accountable for what we hear but also for what we would have heard if we had listened.

Friday, October 8, 2010

Hi friends! -

“Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God.” Romans 13:1

This is what the word of God says about government and our responsibility. Obviously that's not what some people want to hear. You can choose to accept it or reject it. As a Christian, I've been called to witness for Christ, not challenge authority.

-I must pray for those in authority that they make wise choices and to seek God. If I don't like the views they stand for, I'll use my right to vote and pray that God will help ME make those wise choices on who I should vote for. The Bible never says we have to worship and adore the governing authorities, it doesn't even say we have to like them.

It says we have to submit to them.

(submit: to give over or yield to the power or authority of another.)
************************************************************

WE NEED TO PRAY-

When a Christian shuns fellowship with other Christians, the devil smiles. When he stops studying the Bible, the devil laughs. When he stops praying, the devil shouts for joy. – Corrie Ten Boom

The one concern of the devil is to keep Christians from praying. He fears nothing from prayerless studies, prayerless work, and prayerless religion. He laughs at our toil, mocks at our wisdom, but trembles when we pray. – Samuel Chadwick

When the devil sees a man or woman who really believes in prayer, who knows how to pray, and who really does pray, and, above all, when he sees a whole church on its face before God in prayer, he trembles as much as he ever did, for he knows that his day in that church or community is at an end. – R.A. Torrey

But have we Holy Ghost power – power that restricts the devil’s power, pulls down strongholds and obtains promises? Daring delinquents will be damned if they are not delivered from the devil’s dominion. What has hell to fear other than a God-anointed, prayer-powered church? – Leonard Ravenhill

Satan cannot deny but that great wonders have been wrought by prayer. As the spirit of prayer goes up, so his kingdom goes down. Satan’s strategems against prayer are three. First, if he can, he will keep thee from prayer. If that be not feasible, secondly, he will strive to interrupt thee in prayer. And, thirdly, if that plot takes not, he will labour to hinder the success of thy prayer.” – William Gurnall

Prayer is the master strategy that God gives for the defeat and rout of Satan. – Wesley L. Duewel

The prayer of the feeblest saint who lives in the Spirit and keeps right with God is a terror to Satan. The very powers of darkness are paralyzed by prayer; no spiritualistic séance can succeed in the presence of a humble praying saint. No wonder Satan tries to keep our minds fussy in active work till we cannot think in prayer. – Oswald Chambers

I learned as never before that persistent calling upon the Lord breaks through every stronghold of the devil, for nothing is impossible with God. For Christians in these troubled times, there is simply no other way. – Jim Cymbala

Depend upon it, if you are bent on prayer, the devil will not leave you alone. He will molest you, tantalize you, block you, and will surely find some hindrances, big or little or both. And we sometimes fail because we are ignorant of his devices…I do not think he minds our praying about things if we leave it at that. What he minds, and opposes steadily, is the prayer that prays on until it is prayed through, assured of the answer. – Mary Booth

Prayer is an acknowledgment that our need of God’s help is not partial but total… Yet many of our church prayer meetings have dwindled in size and influence. Ultimately, the explanation can be traced to spiritual warfare. If, as the hymn writer says, Satan trembles when he sees the weakest saint upon his knees,” then we may be sure that he and his minions will be working hard to discredit the value of united prayer. The Evil One has scored a great victory in getting sincere believers to waver in their conviction that prayer is necessary and powerful. – Alistair Begg

The enemy uses all his power to lead the Christian, and above all the minister, to neglect prayer. He knows that however admirable the sermon may be, however attractive the service, however faithful the pastoral visitation, none of these things can damage him or his kingdom if prayer is neglected. – Andrew Murray

Hi Everyone! -I hope all is well!
I thought this story was beautiful and I wanted to share it with you:

Why Did Jesus Fold the Napkin?

Why did Jesus fold the linen burial cloth after His resurrection?
Then Simon Peter, who was behind him, arrived and went into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying there, as well as the burial cloth that had been around Jesus' head. The cloth was folded up by itself, separate from the linen. John 20:6-7

The above verses tell us that the napkin, which was placed over the face of Jesus, was not just thrown aside like the grave clothes. The Bible takes an entire verse to tell us that his napkin was neatly folded, and was placed at the head of that stony coffin.

Early the next morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and found that the stone had been rolled away from the Entrance. She ran and found Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved. She said, 'They have taken the Lord's body out of the tomb, and I don't know where they have put him!'

Peter and the other disciple ran to the tomb to see. The other disciple outran Peter and got there first. He stooped and looked in and saw the linen cloth lying there, but he didn't go in. Then Simon Peter arrived and went inside. He also noticed the linen wrappings lying there...

...while the cloth that had covered Jesus' head was folded up and lying to the side.

Was that important? Absolutely! Is it really significant? Yes!

In order to understand the significance of the folded napkin, you have to understand a little bit about Hebrew tradition of that day. The folded napkin had to do with the Master and Servant, and every Jewish boy knew this tradition. When the servant set the dinner table for the master, he made sure that it was exactly the way the master wanted it.

The table was furnished perfectly, and then the servant would wait, just out of sight, until the master had finished eating, and the servant would not dare touch that table, until the master was finished. Now if the master were done eating, he would rise from the table, wipe his fingers, his mouth, and clean his beard, and would wad up that napkin and toss it onto the table. The servant would then know to clear the table.

For in those days, the wadded napkin meant, 'I'm done'.

But if the master got up from the table, and folded his napkin, and laid it beside his plate, the servant would not dare touch the table, because..........

The folded napkin meant, 'I'm coming back!'

He is Coming Back!!
-Enjoy your day!♥

Blessings to you all! -Rev.Debbie ♥
