ARE WE PUTTING LIMITS ON GOD’S POWER AND HIS PROMISES?
I believe we limit God today with our doubts and unbelief. Scripture says of
Israel, “Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the holy One of
Israel” (Psalm 78:41). Israel turned away from God in unbelief.
We trust God in most areas of our lives, but our faith always has boundaries
and limits. We have at least one small area that we block off where we don’t
really believe God is going to undertake for us. For example, many readers have
prayed for the healing of my wife Gwen. But often, when it comes to healing for
their own husband, wife, son or daughter, they limit God.
I limit God most in the area of healing. I have prayed for physical healing for
many and I have seen God perform miracle after miracle. But when it comes to my
own body, I limit God. I am afraid to let him be God to me. I douse myself with
medicine or run to a doctor before I ever pray for myself. I’m not saying
it’s wrong to go to the doctor. But sometimes I fit the description of those
who “sought not to the Lord, but to the physicians” (2 Chronicles 16:12).
I ask you: Do you pray for God to bring down walls in China or Cuba—but when
it comes to the salvation of your own family, you don’t have an ounce of
faith? You think, “God must not want to do this. My loved one is such a tough
case. God doesn’t seem to be hearing me in this matter.” If this is true,
you are not seeing him as God. You are ignorant of his ways. God’s desire is
to “do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the
power that worketh in us” (Ephesians 3:20).
God told me, “David, you’ve tied my hands; you’ve shackled me. How can I
heal you when you don’t really believe I will? Your doubt hinders me from
being God to you. I tell you, you don’t know me unless you know that I am
more willing to give than you are to receive.”
Israel murmured continually, “Can God…? Sure, he made a way for us through
the Red Sea, but can he give us bread?” God gave them bread. In fact, he
spread a table for them in the wilderness. “But can he give us water?” they
asked. He gave them water from a rock. “But can he give us meat?” He gave
them meat from the sky. “But can he deliver us from our enemies?”
Time after time God provided and delivered in every area. Yet the people spent
forty years saying, “Can God…? Can God…?
Beloved, we ought to be saying, “God can! God can!” He did—and he will!
God can and will do all that we ask and believe him for.

Matthew 27:50-54 (King James Version) :
50 Jesus, when He had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
53 And came out of the graves after His resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

Our Special Valentine:
Over 2,000 years ago, Jesus wrote a love letter to us;
written in Blood -on the Cross.
(thank You, Dear Jesus, our Bridegroom!)
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
A HELL-BOUND TRAIN
A cowboy lay down on a barroom floor,
having drunk so much he could drink no more;
so he fell asleep with a troubled brain
To dream that he rode on a hell-bound train.
The engine with murderous blood was damp
and was brilliantly lit with a brimstone lamp;
a demon, for fuel, was shoveling bones,
while the furnace rang with a thousand groans.
The boiler was filled with lager beer
and the Devil himself was the engineer;
the passengers were a most motley crew -
Church member, atheist, Gentile, and Jew.
Rich men in fine clothes, beggars in rags,
Pristine young ladies, and withered old hags,
Yellow and black men, red, brown and white,
All chained together -what a Horrible sight!
While the train rushed on at an awful pace-
The sulfurous fumes scorched their hands and face;
Wider and wider the country grew,
As faster and faster the engine flew,
Louder and louder the thunder crashed
and brighter and brighter the lightening flashed;
Hotter and hotter the air became
Till the clothes were burned from each trembling frame.
And out of the distance there arose a yell,
"Ha, Ha! " said the devil, "we're nearing Hell!"
Then oh, how the passengers all shrieked with pain
and begged the devil to stop the train!
But he leaped about and danced with Glee,
and laughed and joked at their misery.
"my faithful friends, you have done the work
and the devil never can a payday shirk."
"You've bullied the weak, you've robbed the poor,
the starving brother you've turned from your door;
you've laid up gold where the canker rust,
and have given free reign to your beastly lust."
"You've justice scorned, and corruption sown,
and trampled the laws of nature down,
you've drunk, rioted, cheated, plundered and lied,
and mocked at God in your Hell-born pride."
"You have paid full fare, so I'll carry you through
for it's only right that you should have your due,
Why, the laborer always expects his hire,
so I'll land you safe in the lake of fire,"
"Where your flesh will waste in the flames that roar,
and my minions torment you forevermore."
Then the cowboy awoke with an anguished cry,
his clothes wet with sweat and his hair standing high.
Then he prayed as he never had prayed till that hour
to be saved from his sin and the Devil's power;
and his prayers and his pleas were not in vain,
for he never rode the Hell-bound train. ♠

Hello friends!
I've posted a question that some may be asking,
then the answer is posted right after.
God bless each and every one of you! -
****************************************
Question: I believe that I am a saved Christian, but there are times when I have questioned my faith. How do you know for sure that you are saved?
Answer: Many people have doubts about whether or not they are saved. I would suggest they make certain. The question is "what must I do to be saved?" Let me tell you.
You must know that you are a sinner. The Bible says: "There is none righteous, no not one" (Romans 3:10). "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).
You must know that God loves you and has sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for you. "But God commendeth (demonstrated or showed) his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). Born of the virgin, Jesus Christ lived a perfect life and died on the cross (shedding His blood) to pay for your sins. Here is the Gospel: "how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; He was buried, and rose again the third day according to the scriptures" (I Corinthians 15:3,4).
You must know how to receive His salvation by faith. God saves people through faith and faith alone. "For by grace (unmerited favor) are ye saved through faith" (Ephesians 2:8). There is no other way to be right with God. "Therefore being justified (made right with God) by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" (Romans 5:1). To take Christ by faith is to turn from your sin (repent) and place all your trust (confidence, belief) in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and Lord. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved" (Acts 16:13).
Just as one is born into his physical family, one must be born into God's family. In John 3:7 Jesus said: "Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again."
Since you are not sure of your salvation, I would suggest that if you truly believe in your heart the above truth from God's Word, you should ask the Lord Jesus to forgive you of your sin and to come into your life today as your Lord and Savior. In this way you will know for certain that you are saved because the day that you do this will be your spiritual birthday. You can always look back on that day as the day when you were born again.
Here is a prayer to guide you: "Dear Lord Jesus, I come to You just as I am, a sinner. I turn from my sin and unbelief to You. I now take You by faith as my only Savior and Lord. I trust You to save me and guide me in the Christian life. In Your Name, Amen."
Think quietly now about the words you have spoken. Are they an expression of the faith in your heart? Repeating a prayer does not save. "With the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation" (Romans 10:10). If you have received the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour, be assured that He has received you. "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:13). "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life" (I John 5:13). ♥

This morning on the radio, I heard a pastor say some things that upset me.
This was from a pastor of a mega church in the Denver, CO area.
What he said was this:
The study of end-time events and studying the Book of Revelation is of Satan;
Asking for teaching of that kind in your church is brought on by Satanic forces. People should only be interested in the here and now!
That kind of thinking gets people off track of how they should be living now.
I could not believe what I heard. I won't mention his name. I won't give his ideas and beliefs any more publicity. God knows who he is. For myself, the reason I was upset with his words, is because, first and foremost, by telling people that it is satanic to talk about the upcoming, future events for all, including the 'Blessed Hope' is like telling people to disregard some parts of their Bible and only look to him for the Truth. (No, thanks. I'll pass.)
Revelation is a Book of triumph and victory for our God!!!
Jesus Christ is the Word. Not that mega church pastor.
It could happen sooner than we think. Perhaps today. I don't set dates. As long as everyday I'm looking for Him, our Bridegroom, where can I go wrong with that?
These days I have friends who ask me questions regarding the things they see in the news, things that make them uneasy. I do talk to them about those things, with reference to what the Bible says, to give them comfort in these uncertain times.
Jesus Himself, was accused of being filled with the devil : (Matthew 12:24)
"But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow does not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils."
I think that Satan gets way too much credit.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (New Living Translation)
16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. 17 God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. •
********************************************************
-Keep in mind, just because it's fed over the airwaves and it's free, doesn't mean it's worth anything, and it doesn't mean it won't make you sick! -Make sure you see what the Bible says about something before you believe it. Remember about wolves in sheep's clothing:
The Lord Jesus Christ warned His followers, "Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves (Matt. 7:15)Blessings to you and yours, friends, -Rev.Debbie ♥

I need to be totally serious with you today.
I feel there might be information you're seeking, so I thought I'd help you.
The Bible talks about Christ's return to earth (His second coming), and also of the believer's return with Him:
(Rev 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he [Christ] that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. -Rev 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed Him [Christ] upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.)
Now, you can see how presently, all the prophetic signs are casting their shadows.
You can see the signs the Bible mentions, of how things will be in the times of the end, already happening all over the world.
They are all beginning to be fulfilled. Imagine! The prophecies that take place after we're gone in the Rapture, and which indicate that we will return with Him, are already beginning.
If the signs indicate that we will be returning with Jesus soon, and we are still on earth, how very, very soon must the Rapture then occur to take us out of this earth so that, seven years later, we can return with Him!
As I've just stated, these signs that are to be totally fulfilled after we're gone, are already transpiring. We see them before our eyes everyday in world events! The Bible tells us that you & I will return with Jesus; However we must first go home by way of the Rapture in order to return soon. You can clearly see how this event is right at the door!
-After the Rapture will be The Wedding (Marriage) in Heaven between the Lamb (Christ) and His bride (Christians), and the Marriage Supper.
Rev 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to Him [ God ]: for the marriage of the Lamb [Jesus Christ ] is come, and his wife [ the Body of Christ, the saints, collectively sometimes called The Church, Christ's congregation ] hath made herself ready.
Rev 19:8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
Rev 19:9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.•
There is no way that our Bridegroom (the Dear Lord Jesus Christ) would want His spouse to go through the wrath of the tribulation!
This is 1 Thessalonians 1:10- ( and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, that is Jesus, who rescues us from the wrath to come.)
This is Nahum 1:2- (God is jealous, and the LORD revengeth; the LORD revengeth, and is furious; the LORD will take vengeance on his adversaries, and He reserveth wrath for his enemies.)
Unless we are enemies of God, He isn't reserving His wrath for us, we don't have to worry.
When I read Matthew, Chapter 22, I think this is a picture of our soon to be marriage supper in Heaven, and Jesus is talking: (but please remember that the words in parentheses are my interpretations of the situation as it's happening.)
1 Jesus spoke to them again in parables, saying: 2 “The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son. 3 He sent his servants to those who had been invited to the banquet to tell them to come, but they refused to come.
4 “Then he sent some more servants and said, ‘Tell those who have been invited that I have prepared my dinner: My oxen and fattened cattle have been butchered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.’
5 “But they paid no attention and went off—one to his field, another to his business. 6 The rest seized his servants, mistreated them and killed them. 7 The king was enraged. He sent his army and destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
(The way I see it, first the Jews were invited, but they didn't believe that Jesus Christ was their Messiah, so He invited the Gentiles and all who would accept His Gift of grace.)
8 “Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding banquet is ready, but those I invited did not deserve to come. 9 So go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find.’ 10 So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, the bad as well as the good, (Gentile and Jewish believers alike) and the wedding hall was filled with guests.
11 “But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. (this person wasn't a believer) 12 He asked, ‘How did you get in here without wedding clothes, friend?’ The man was speechless.
13 “Then the king told the attendants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ (you know where he was thrown. That's self- explanatory)
14 “For many are invited, but few are chosen.”
(His gift of grace is available to all. They just have to accept His gift, many won't, some say they'll ask Him for forgiveness when they hear the trumpet. This will happen in the twinkling of an eye. Now, a blink is calculated to be 11/100ths of a second. A half-blink becomes the twinkling of an eye. I don't think they'll have enough time. Do you? )
You can see how our Lord and Bridegroom, Jesus Christ, out of the love that He has for us, died on the cross so painfully that we can't even comprehend all the pain He endured for us;
how could we think that He would want us, His bride whom He died for, to be battered, bruised and beaten? -from Matthew 24:21 we read: -For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And then, after suffering through the tribulation, He'd tell us, "come up hither?"
Well that doesn't make sense! He told us from Deuteronomy 31:6 that He will 'never leave us nor forsake us'. •
I hope my words help you in your understanding of the things to come. I want you to have, always, a close walk with God, so that when you see Him face to face, you'll say, "I never quit watching for You!" (He loves us so much.)
If you haven't already, please talk with the Lord Jesus Christ and tell Him you accept His gift that he gave you on the cross at Calvary.
Remember that He knew you before you were born, He created you; He knows every sin we've ever, or will in the future commit, and He paid for every one already!
He has shed His Precious blood for us, we cannot let that have been in vain.
Blessings to you always, yours in Christ, Reverend Debbie ♥

The Little Boat | |
The story of a person who had to purchase what he created.
A young boy spent many hours building a little sailboat, crafting it down to the finest detail. He then took it to a nearby river to sail it. When he put it in the water, however, it moved away from him very quickly. Though he chased it along the bank, he couldn't keep up with it. The strong wind and current carried the boat away. The heartbroken boy knew how hard he would have to work to build another sailboat.
Farther down the river, a man found the little boat, took it to town, and sold it to a shopkeeper. Later that day, as the boy was walking through town, he noticed the boat in a store window. Entering the store, looking at it closely, he told the owner that the boat belonged to him. It had his own little marks on it, but he couldn't prove to the shopkeeper that the boat was his. The man told him the only way he could get the boat was to buy it. The boy wanted it back so badly that he did exactly that. As he took the boat from the hand of the shopkeeper, he looked at it and said,
"Little boat, now you're twice mine. I made you and I bought you."
In the same way, we belong twice to Someone. He both created us and paid a great price for us. With the blood of His Son, we have been redeemed and reunited with Him. His Son gave His life to get us back, yet so often we show such little gratitude for what He has done for us.
(I Love You, Lord God! Thank You for loving me. ) ♥
“You know that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your fathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.” (1 Peter 1:18-19)

The Bridge Keeper | |
There once was a bridge which spanned a large river. During most of the day the bridge sat with its length running up and down the river paralleled with the banks, allowing ships to pass through freely on both sides of the bridge.
But at certain times each day, a train would come along and the bridge would be turned sideways across the river, allowing a train to cross it. A switchman sat in a small shack on one side of the river where he operated the controls to turn the bridge and lock it into place as the train crossed.
One evening as the switchman was waiting for the last train of the day to come, he looked off into the distance through the dimming twilight and caught sight of the train lights. He stepped to the control and waited until the train was within a prescribed distance when he was to turn the bridge. He turned the bridge into position, but, to his horror, he found the locking control did not work. If the bridge was not securely in position it would wobble back and forth at the ends when the train came onto it, causing the train to jump the track and go crashing into the river. This would be a passenger train with many people aboard.
He left the bridge turned across the river, and hurried across the bridge to the other side of the river where there was a lever switch he could hold to operate the lock manually. He would have to hold the lever back firmly as the train crossed. He could hear the rumble of the train now, and he took hold of the lever and leaned backward to apply his weight to it, locking the bridge. He kept applying the pressure to keep the mechanism locked. Many lives depended on this man's strength. Then, coming across the bridge from the direction of his control shack, he heard a sound that made his blood run cold. “Daddy, where are you?” His four-year-old son was crossing the bridge to look for him.
His first impulse was to cry out to the child, “Run! Run!” But the train was too close; the tiny legs would never make it across the bridge in time. The man almost left his lever to run and snatch up his son and carry him to safety. But he realized that he could not get back to the lever. Either the people on the train or his little son must die. He took a moment to make his decision.
The train sped safely and swiftly on its way, and no one aboard was even aware of the tiny broken body thrown mercilessly into the river by the onrushing train. Nor were they aware of the pitiful figure of the sobbing man, still clinging tightly to the locking lever long after the train had passed. They did not see him walking home more slowly than he had ever walked: to tell his wife how their son had brutally died.
Now if you comprehend the emotions which went through this man's heart, you can begin to understand the feelings of God in Heaven when He sacrificed His only Son Jesus to bridge the gap between us and eternal life. Can there be any wonder that He caused the earth to tremble and the skies to darken when His Son died naked on the cross? How does He feel when we speed along through life without giving a thought to what was done for us through Jesus Christ? How can you reject Jesus by simply saying I'm not ready, I'm not mature, my faith is different? •
