Hi Friends!
First off, I want to let you know that I posted September's Bible Studies on here yesterday, August 30, 2011, if you were looking for those;
And this morning I wanted to give you some other things, too, friends!

Here is what I have for you, my lovelies:

Let us give the Lord the bud of the day, its virgin beauty, its unsullied purity. Say what you will about the evening, and there are many points about it which make it an admirable season for devotion, yet the morning is the choice time. Is it not a queenly hour? See how it is adorned with diamonds more pure than those which flash in the crowns of eastern potentates. The old proverb declares that they who would be rich must rise early; surely those who would be rich towards God must do so. No dews fall in the middle of the day, and it is hard to keep up the dew and freshness of one’s spirit in the worry, and care, and turmoil of midday; but in the morning the dew should fail upon our fleece till it is filled therewith; and it is well to wring it out before the Lord, and give him our morning’s vigor, our morning’s freshness and unction.

(From a sermon by Charles Haddon Spurgeon entitled "Morning And Evening Songs.)

No Hope But God

In his book Through the Valley of the Kwai, Scottish officer Ernest Gordon wrote of his years as a prisoner of war during World War II. The 6′ 2″ man suffered from malaria, diphtheria, typhoid, beriberi, dysentery, and jungle ulcers, and the hard labor and scarcity of food quickly plunged his weight to less than 100 pounds.

The squalor of the prison hospital prompted a desperate Ernest to request to be moved to a cleaner place—the morgue. Lying in the dirt of the death house, he waited to die. But every day, a fellow prisoner came to wash his wounds and to encourage him to eat part of his own rations. As the quiet and unassuming Dusty Miller nursed Ernest back to health, he talked with the agnostic Scotsman of his own strong faith in God and showed him that—even in the midst of suffering—there is hope.

The hope we read about in Scripture is not a vague, wishy-washy optimism. Instead, biblical hope is a strong and confident expectation that what God has promised in His Word He will accomplish. Tribulation is often the catalyst that produces perseverance, character, and finally, hope (Rom. 5:3-4).

Seventy years ago, in a brutal POW camp, Ernest Gordon learned this truth himself and said, “Faith thrives when there is no hope but God” (see Rom. 8:24-25). - by, Cindy Hess Casper

Faith in Jesus Christ, looks beyond this transient life
With hope for all eternity—
Not with some vague and wistful hope,
But with firm trust and certainty. ♥

SEPTEMBER BIBLE STUDIES

To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under Heaven.
(Ecclesiastes 3:1)

Autumn time once again. Time to look for our sweaters and jackets. School time for the children is here again. You can smell the change in the air. Beautiful pumpkins and fall flowers, crisp evenings. Towards the end of this month you'll see the leaves starting to fall. You'll see gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. Let us thank our Lord for it all!
His creation! Each of us even, are also His creations!

As times move forward and seasons change, one thing that never changes is the Lord. (Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.)

Not to Decide is to Decide

from Adrian Rogers (Love worth Finding)

“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.”

(Deuteronomy 30:19)

Years ago I was witnessing to a young lady in Florida... I asked her if she had received Jesus as her Lord and Savior. She became teary-eyed and said, “I just don’t seem…no…I can’t do it today.” I asked her, “Don’t you realize that if you don’t receive Him, that you’re going to deny Him?” She said, “Oh, I wouldn’t deny Him for anything.” I said, “But there’s no middle ground.” And yet she refused.

I said, “Before you go, would you shake hands with me?” And she said, “Well, certainly.” And so I said, “If you’ll take Christ as your Savior, take my right hand. If you’ll take hell and refuse Christ, take my left hand.” She refused to take either of my hands.

Every person has a choice. There is no neutral ground.
You are either crowning Jesus as Lord of your life or you are not. Which is it my friend?

LIES AND TRUTH UNLEASHED

I'm basically a good person, so I'll go to heaven."
"OK, so I do some bad things, but I do more good things, so I'll go to heaven."
"God won't send me to hell just because I don't live by the Bible. Times have changed!"
"Only really bad people like child molesters and murderers go to hell!"

These are all common rationalizations, but the truth is that they are all lies.
Satan, the ruler of the world, plants these thoughts in our heads.
He, and anyone who follows his ways, is an enemy of God. (1Peter 5:8).
Satan is a deceiver and often disguises himself as someone good, (2 Corinthians 11:14),
but he has control over all the minds that do not belong to God.

"The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see
the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God" (2 Corinthians 4:4).

It is a lie to believe that God doesn't care about small sins or that hell is reserved
for "bad people." All sin separates us from God, even a “little white lie.”
Everyone has sinned, and no one is good enough to get to heaven on their own
(Romans 3:23). Getting into heaven is not based on whether our good outweighs
our bad; we will all lose out if that is the case. "And if by grace, then it is
no longer by works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace" (Romans 11:6).
We can do nothing good to earn our way to heaven (Titus 3:5).

"Enter in through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads
to destruction, and many enter through it" (Matthew 7:13). Even if everyone else
is living a life of sin in a culture where trusting in God is not popular, God
will not excuse it. "As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins,
in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the
ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are
disobedient" (Ephesians 2:1-2).

When God created the world, it was perfect and good. God gave them their own free will,
so they would have a choice whether to follow and obey God. But they were
tempted by Satan to disobey God, and they sinned. This separated them (and
everyone that came after them, including us) from being able to have a close
relationship with God. He is perfect and holy and must judge sin. As sinners, we
couldn't reconcile ourselves to God on our own. So God made a way that we could
be united with Him in heaven. "For God so loved the world that He gave His one
and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal
life" (John 3:16). "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is
eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23). Jesus was born to die for
our sins so that we would not have to. Three days after His death, He arose from
the grave (Romans 4:25), proving Himself victorious over death. He bridged the
gap between God and man so that we may have a personal relationship with Him if
we only believe.

"Now this is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ,
whom You have sent" (John 17:3) .
Most people believe in God, even Satan does. But to receive salvation, we must turn to God,
form a personal relationship, turn away from our sins, and follow Him. We must
trust in Jesus with everything we have and everything we do.
"This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference" (Romans 3:22).
The Bible teaches that there is no other way to salvation than through Christ.
Jesus says in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through Me."

Jesus is the only way of salvation because He is the only One who can pay our sin
penalty (Romans 6:23). No other religion teaches the depth or seriousness of sin
and its consequences. No other religion offers the infinite payment of sin that
only Jesus Christ could provide. No other “religious founder” was God become man
(John 1:1,14) – the only way an infinite debt could be paid. Jesus had to be God
so that He could pay our debt. Jesus had to be man so He could die.
Salvation is available only through faith in Jesus Christ!

“Salvation is found in no One else, for there is no other Name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

"Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh." (Matt.24:44)

Hi Everyone!

I just wanted to come to you today and talk a little about...me.
You must know (as you can see in my posts) that I am pre-trib, and that I believe the Rapture of church is imminent. Some have said that, " 'that belief' is tantamount to Christian Snoberry". (God's gift of grace and eternal life with Him are available to all who will believe in Him, see John 3:16.)
I'm sure that there are some who would love to school me in
'no man knows the day or hour',
(that's the devil's favorite scripture).
If it doesn't happen, then great! That's more time we can spend getting the Word out to the lost!! Nothing to get down about!!!
I just believe the Lord wouldn't have talked so much about the signs if He didn't want us watching for them. And watching I do! Aplenty!
I'm not setting a date, it could be any day, perhaps today.
Time I believe is very short, we've got about 40 days exactly until Rosh Hashana. And I believe the scripture does point a lot to Rosh Hashana being the time frame when the Rapture would take place, and also all the things that are going on in the heavens and signs in the earth, points to this year as being that year, so I really do believe if He didn't want us to see the signs, He wouldn't have left signs for us, or even talked at all about them.
Why are so many people scared to talk about this coming soon of the Lord?
If I'm wrong...SO WHAT? I love the Lord and want to be a watchman on the wall for Him!
He's gonna know I cared enough about others to try and make sure they were ready.
I hope you are too.

(In that ecstatic moment, when His word of welcome to you is spoken and this special crown of reward is being given, I trust you will be one of those who receive it, because you loved His appearing!)

DID YOU KNOW?

The Comet Elenin is scheduled for impact with the earth on September 20th, 2011?
Comet Elenin is set to hit the New Madrid fault line?
President Obama will push Netanyahu to divide Israel at a meeting, set for Sept. 20th, 2011?

CONSIDER THIS:

I know it has been prophesied.
If the USA is going to force Israel to be divided, then the USA itself will be divided.
The New Madrid fault is absolutely ripe to let this happen.

WOW! That would be what the USA would earn, if it plays a part in dividing Israel!
The New Madrid fault would divide the US!

Is The New Madrid Fault Earthquake Zone Coming To Life?

What in the world is happening in the middle of the United States right now? Thousands of birds are falling dead from the skies, tens of thousands of fish are washing up on shore dead, earthquakes are popping up in weird and unexpected places and people are starting to get really freaked out about all of this. Well, one theory is that the New Madrid fault zone is coming to life. The New Madrid fault zone is six times bigger than the San Andreas fault zone in California and it covers portions of Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee and Mississippi. The biggest earthquakes in the history of the United States were caused by the New Madrid fault. Now there are fears that the New Madrid fault zone could be coming to life again, and if a "killer earthquake" does strike it could change all of our lives forever.

So exactly what events have happened recently that are causing people to take a close look at the New Madrid fault zone? Well, just consider the following examples of things that have been popping up in the news lately....

*According to the U.S. Geological Survey, more than 500 measurable earthquakes have been recorded in central Arkansas just since September.

*A magnitude-3.8 earthquake that shook north-central Indiana on December 30th is being called "unprecedented". It was strong enough to actually cause cracks along the ground and it was felt in portions of Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin and Kentucky.

*More than 3,000 red-wing blackbirds fell out of the sky dead in the Arkansas town of Beebe on New Year's Eve.

*Large numbers of dead birds were also found in Kentucky right around Christmas.

*Approximately 500 dead blackbirds and starlings were also recently discovered in Pointe Coupee Parish, Louisiana.

*Approximately 100,000 fish washed up dead on the shores of the Arkansas River just last week.

So could all of these things have some other very simple explanation?

Possibly.

But the fact that they all happened in or around the New Madrid fault zone is starting to raise some eyebrows.

About 200 years ago, in 1811 and 1812, there were four earthquakes that were so powerful in the area of the New Madrid fault zone that they are still talked about today. All four of the quakes were estimated to have been magnitude-7.0 or greater. It is said that those earthquakes opened deep fissures in the ground, caused the Mississippi River to run backwards and that they were felt as far away as Boston.

The last major earthquake to hit the region was a 5.4-magnitude quake that struck the town of Dale, Illinois in 1968. Things have been strangely quiet in the region since then until recently.

If a true "killer earthquake" struck along the New Madrid fault zone today, cities such as St. Louis, Missouri and Memphis, Tennessee could potentially be completely destroyed.

Unfortunately, this is not an exaggeration.

The following video describes just how incredibly powerful the earthquakes along the New Madrid fault in 1811 and 1812 actually were....

So could such a thing happen today?

Well, that is exactly what many seismologists now fear. The following video news report from ABC News explains why so many scientists are so concerned about the New Madrid fault zone....

One interesting theory is that the "oil volcano" unleashed by the BP oil spill in 2010 may have sparked renewed seismic activity in that part of the world.

Jack M. Reed, a retired Texaco geologist-geophysicist, has been carefully studying the geology of the Gulf of Mexico for over 40 years. Reed is convinced that the Gulf of Mexico is currently tectonically active, and that the Gulf of Mexico is the source for most seismic activity along the New Madrid fault.

According to Reed, there is substantial evidence that the New Madrid fault zone is directly connected to "deeply buried tectonics" in the Gulf of Mexico....

"This entire zone through the United States is suffering some type of tectonic activity that I believe is tied to the deeply buried tectonics in the Gulf of Mexico."

So did BP disturb those "deeply buried tectonics" by drilling such a deep well and unleashing all that oil that flowed into the Gulf of Mexico?

Let's hope not.

If a truly historic earthquake did strike along the New Madrid fault the amount of damage that could be done to surrounding states such as Illinois, Kentucky, Mississippi, Indiana, Alabama, Missouri, Arkansas and Tennessee could potentially be unimaginable.

Jeremy Heidt of the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency says that life in the region would be instantly transformed in the event of a major earthquake along the New Madrid fault....

"All communications would be out. All air travel would be out as the FAA air control would go down. All rail travel would fail. Ports would shut down; oil and natural gas pipelines could be off line."

According to a recent study by the University of Illinois, a 7.7-magnitude earthquake along the New Madrid fault would leave 3,500 people dead, more than 80,000 injured and more than 7 million homeless.

So what would happen if an 8.0 earthquake struck?

Or an 8.5?

Or a 9.0?

Remember, an 8.7-magnitude earthquake would be ten times worse than a 7.7-magnitude earthquake.

There are even some who believe that if a powerful enough earthquake hit the New Madrid fault someday it could potentially alter the surrounding geography enough that it could actually create a new major body of water in the middle of the United States.

So, no, it is not just California that needs to worry about "the Big One".

Right now seismic activity has been dramatically increasing all over the globe. Just think of the unprecedented number of volcanic eruptions that we have seen over the past year. Major earthquakes have been popping up all along the "Ring of Fire". Just over the past couple of days a magnitude-7.1 earthquake hit central Chile and a magnitude-7.0 earthquake struck northern Argentina.

So to think that "it can't happen" in the United States is just being totally naive.

Let us hope and pray that a devastating earthquake does not hit the New Madrid fault any time soon, because such an event could completely wipe out our economy. The U.S. economy is already teetering on the brink of disaster, and all it would take is one major blow to bring the entire house of cards crashing down.

Just remember what happened in Haiti. A magnitude-7.0 earthquake killed 230,000 people and caused such horrific devastation that it is still hard to even try to put it into words. Let us hope and pray that nothing like that happens in any U.S. city any time soon. •

Hi Friends!
I hope you're having a really Blessed week as we wait on our Lord's return at any time!

John 14:2 "In My Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you; And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."

Titus 2:13 "Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ"

2 Timothy 4:8 "Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the Righteous Judge, will award to me on that day--and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for His appearing."

Are you going to be counted as one of those that longed for His appearing?
Are you going to be one of those who have sighed and have cried for all the abominations that are being done in your midst? (as is discussed in Ezekiel 9)
Or are you going to be ashamed at His coming because you just didn't have time to care?

You can make a difference today.
Cry out to Him, and ask Him to please count you worthy to meet Him in the clouds.
Having your best in mind, and with Christian love I write this, Rev.Debbie ♥

Hi Friends!

You are a foreigner in a land where you march to a different drummer. You don’t settle down in this world. It’s not your home; you’re only passing through.
If you dabble and delight in this world, yet your citizenship is in heaven, you’re going to have one foot in the world and one in heaven—just enough religion to make you miserable in the world and just enough of the world to make you miserable in your spiritual life. Instead, stay close to the Lord Jesus Christ. At all costs. Over anything you think you need in this life, He needs to come first. For your life now, and eternal life to come. Whatever you're going through...He's gone through. He's left this earth, and came back, for you. And for me. Give your life to Him today.
All the way. Be a sold-out Believer. Totally faithful to Him! <>< <>< <><

New-age 'gold rush' starts as stock market tanks

9:45 AM, Aug 9, 2011

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - In the face of falling stock prices, gold is considered a safe haven. The price of an ounce has soared past $1,700, marking a new record. So is now the time to mine your jewelery box and cash in on lost treasure? •

Ezekiel 7:19 -

"They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity."

Let's look closely at this verse:

"They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed"
-I believe this is discussing the times we are in right now. You see so many people buying gold because they think it will save them when the economy collapses. My dad who recently past away, told me before he died, he said that there's an old law that has been on the books since he was 18 years old, that says if the government needs your gold and silver, you have to give it to them. Well, I think they'll bring out that law. They'll put it into action. For sure not many people know that law exists, but the government absolutely knows, and when they desire it, they will go house to house to get the people's gold. and the people will say, "fine then! freaking take it, take all of it!" And in anger the people will throw it out of their house and into the streets! Their gold shall be removed. When it says this:" their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD." -The day of the wrath of the Lord will be after the true bride of Christ has been taken out in the Rapture! (Remember Nahum 1:2 that says God reserveths wrath for His enemies. The true repentant believer, the true blood-bought bride of Christ, won't see His wrath!) they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: I think this is saying how the gold will not save them, even though that's what they thought. They can only buy food using the mark of the beast. because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity. I think this means that they are having a terrible time because they didn't accept the Lord, but gave allegiance to a false god when they accepted the mark.

This was my interpretation of the verse and it just floors me how spot-on perfect the Holy Book is! It's all right there in the Word. -Most pastors aren't even bothering to preach it.
I've given what I could to you today friends. May God tightly hold you all close. -Rev.Debbie ♥

Repent and believe now

I pray you, do have a little patience with us who preach to you, for our time is short, and you will soon be rid of us. Have a little patience with your Bible, it will soon enough be out of your way! Have a little patience with your poor Christian mother who tries to bring you to the Savior, she will be far from you soon! We, who now trouble you by desiring to do you good, will soon be out of your way.

Ah, poor souls! poor souls! for you will then be out of God’s way, and out of Christ’s way, and out of mercy’s way, banished from the Savior’s presence; and that because the kingdom of God came nigh unto you, and ye put it away from you, for ye would have none of the Lord’s reproofs, but ye turned every one to his own way, and rejected the counsels of God against yourselves. Beloved hearers, may none of you stand in that plight. While I breathe the prayer that it may not be so, may I ask you to pray for yourselves that it will not be so. Will you let me whisper in your ear, as though I stood close by each one of you now; and I will softly and lovingly say, — Repent, and believe in Jesus, now, with all thy might. God help thee, “for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.”

Is Judgment Falling? - By Bill Keller – www.raptureready.com
Is the economic meltdown we are seeing in this nation and around the world God's judgment? Back in early 2008, I wrote a Devotional on how God could use the economy as an instrument of His judgment on the United States. As we are now in August of 2011, 3 1/2 years later, do you still think what we are watching before our very eyes is an economic problem as opposed to a spiritual problem?
Have you seen the headlines lately? Our nation is over $15 trillion in debt and climbing, with our current obligations totaling well over $60 trillion. Friday evening, for the first time in the history of our nation, our credit rating has been downgraded from AAA by one of the major ratings agencies. At this moment, a larger percentage of our population is unemployed than we have seen in over 40 years, and a large percentage of those jobs are gone and never coming back. While President Obama celebrated his birthday with a lavish star-studded White House party last Thursday, over 1.2 TRILLION dollars of wealth was lost in the market sell-off that day. One out of seven people are now on food stamps!
In addition to these cold financial numbers, you are seeing anarchy in the streets. Every day I read about thieves stealing copper tubing from air conditioners, steel manhole covers, and metals of every kind. You have flash mobs of violence popping up all over the nation. This past weekend at the Wisconsin state fair, a mob of young black men attacked white fair goers, pulling people out of their cars and beating them. Acts of domestic violence are on a rise in all 50 states. As financial conditions worsen, these criminal acts are only going to increase.
DO YOU STILL THINK WHAT WE ARE WATCHING BEFORE OUR VERY EYES IS SIMPLY AN ECONOMIC PROBLEM, AND NOT A SPIRITUAL PROBLEM?
My friend, God's judgment can come in many forms. Most people think of God's judgment as what we read about in the Book of Revelation when His wrath is poured out on the world in the final days through devastating natural disasters that will affect huge percentages of the world's population. We also think of how God judged the children of Israel in the Old Testament when He allowed their enemies to take their land and enslave them. However, today, I want to take a look at another form of God's judgment that is also in the Bible, but one that most people never really think about, and that is the economy. I have personally felt that using the economy is not only the most likely form of God's judgment on this nation, but would be easily the most devastating since it will affect the lives of every person in some way.
The first issue to discuss is why would we even be talking about God's judgment on the United States? My friend, you don't need to be much of a Bible scholar to know that this nation is not only due God's judgment, it is OVERDUE God's judgment. In the Book of Deuteronomy the Bible warns," If you ever forget the LORD your God and follow other gods and worship and bow down to them, I testify against you today that you will surely be destroyed."
As I have told you many times, the promises in God's Word are true but so are the warnings. This nation was founded on the Word of God and the hope of Jesus Christ. God blessed this nation abundantly, but over the past 235 years we have squandered those blessings and now live in complete rebellion to God and His Word. Just the fact we have abandoned God and have turned to the false gods and idols of this world, is enough for God to pronounce His judgment on this nation!
Sadly, in addition to worshiping the false gods of the world, we are living in utter rebellion to the Truth of God's Word. Sexual sin is rampant. Men treat other men in the most inhumane ways imaginable. People worldwide turn to drugs and alcohol for strength. Human life that can only come from God is no longer respected or valued. The greatest example of that is the fact that we legally slaughter over 4,000 innocent babies in this nation every 24 hours. That fact alone demands God's judgment on our nation!
As you read through the Old Testament, we see the children of Israel turn from God to the false gods of the world. We see them living in rebellion to God in every way imaginable. At some point, God says enough is enough and pours out His wrath and judgment on Israel. That judgment came in many forms, but usually it was allowing the enemies of Israel to take their land and the children of Israel into captivity. Sadly, it was only AFTER the judgment of God fell that the people would repent and turn back to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
PLEASE HEAR ME CLEARLY. IF GOD SPARED NOT HIS CHOSEN PEOPLE FROM HIS JUDGMENT, WHY WOULD ANYONE EXPECT THAT HE WILL SPARE THIS WICKED AND APOSTATE NATION HIS JUDGMENT?
My personal belief is that God's judgment on this nation will come through the economy. I remember distinctly back in he mid 80s when I was running from God and very heavily involved in trading some stocks, but mostly commodities and futures, how precarious the whole economic system really was. Now you have to remember, this was back in the mid 80s when the United States was clearly the dominant economic power in the world and the US dollar was the gold standard all currency was judged by.
Fast forward just 25 years later and the world's economic landscape has dramatically changed. China is clearly the dominant financial power today, the booming economies of the UK, Japan, Europe, and the United States have been replaced by China, India, and many Middle Eastern nations, and the floundering US dollar is no longer the monetary standard the world looks to. The weak dollar, sagging US economy, and what is now clearly a global economy in 2011, has all made the possibility of God using the economy to judge this nation even more likely.
This is not complicated to understand. I know economics can be intimidating, but this is actually very simple. Anyone who drives understands the pressure of gas at nearly $4 a gallon. With China, India, and other nations using so much of the world's energy resources, it wouldn't be a stretch to see gas at $10 a gallon. With the population of the world growing at the current rate, most people have no idea how precarious the food supply is becoming. We walk through our grocery stores with shelves stocked full of food, but it wouldn't take much for you to see many of those shelves empty.
The US financial markets have always been more tenuous than most people understand. For the most part, they are one big ponzi scheme, lots of hype with very little of substance to back-up any of the numbers you see. We have already seen the effects of this with the Internet bubble bursting in 2000 (another Internet bubble is right around the corner), the failure of giants like Enron and WorldCom, and the current nightmare the housing market is going through. If foreign money ever pulled out of the US markets, it would cause stocks to tank, sending a ripple effect that would be felt throughout the brokerage and banking industries as hundreds of trillions of dollars could be wiped out in days.
The point I am trying to make today is that it would not take much, a few tweaks here and there for our economy to unwind and this nation to experience a time far worse than even the great depression of the 1920s. God would not have to do much to use the economy as a form of His judgment on this nation and it would affect every man, woman, and child alive. Most people would be reduced to living like some people in other parts of the world, simply living from day to day trying to acquire the basic needs of life to survive.
I am not trying to scare you today, but to prepare you. Prepare you that life as we know it at this moment could change very easily and very suddenly. Now is the time to get serious about your faith and become bold in sharing that faith with others. I know God's judgment is coming, I know we are living in the last days, and I know Jesus is coming at any moment. That is why I have worked so tirelessly, especially these past 12 years since Liveprayer began, since I know that God has raised up this ministry for this moment in human history.
A great revival is about to be unleashed on this nation and the world. It won't be a revival of people chasing miracles, but a revival of souls as the lost come to repentance and turn to Jesus. They won't need signs and wonders to excite them, they will already be moved as they see the world around them crumbling and realize that they need something bigger than themselves to hold on to. There will always be those with the hard hearts who will curse God with their last breath, but hundreds of millions of souls will bow their knee and confess Christ as their Lord and Savior by faith!
Never fear. If you are a child of God, no matter what form God's wrath and judgment on this nation takes, we have nothing to worry about since our citizenship is not of this world. We have a Heavenly home awaiting us. Our only job during these few years is to do all we can to bring as many people to Heaven with us. This is the time, now is the moment, our opportunity to make our lives count for Christ is at hand. May we be found faithful as we take our stand for Him in these last days.
Practically, I will be praying for you and your family as God meets your every need. Never forget, HE, and HE alone is our supplier. If you have lost your job, God will open the doors for a new and better job. If you are struggling in your business, know that the Lord can give you wisdom and favor to see your business prosper, perhaps in a different form than it currently is in. Even in these times of economic trouble, the Lord can still open doors to provide for His children.
My word to you if you are struggling, be open to God guiding you down new paths, new opportunities, new ways to provide for you and your family. Keep an open mind!
Also, I know from our daily emails for prayer that many people have already been feeling the effects from the economic slowdown we are experiencing. Many have been hurt by the problems in the housing sector. Many hurt by the increased cost of food and gasoline. Many simply struggling to meet their monthly needs. Please know that I will be praying for you today and for the Lord to not only meet your every need, but bless your finances and give you FAVOR as you are faithful and obedient in that area of your life. Amen!•

“A World Without the Cross Would be a World Without Hope”

Never deny the Cross. You will be denying your Christ.

The Cross is not just a private symbol of devotion, it is not just a badge of membership of a certain group within society, and in its deepest meaning it has nothing to do with the imposition of a creed or a philosophy by force. It speaks of hope, it speaks of love, it speaks of the victory of non-violence over oppression, it speaks of God raising up the lowly, empowering the weak, conquering division, and overcoming hatred with love. A world without the Cross would be a world without hope, a world in which torture and brutality would go unchecked, the weak would be exploited and greed would have the final word. Man’s inhumanity to man would be manifested in ever more horrific ways, and there would be no end to the vicious cycle of violence. Only the Cross puts an end to it.

While no earthly power can save us from the consequences of our sins, and no earthly power can defeat injustice at its source, nevertheless the saving intervention of our loving God has transformed the reality of sin and death into its opposite. That is what we celebrate when we glory in the Cross of our Redeemer. Rightly does Saint Andrew of Crete describe the Cross as “more noble, more precious than anything on earth […] for in it and through it and for it all the riches of our salvation were stored away and restored to us” (Oratio X; PG 97, 1018-1019).

A relatively rare, moderate earthquake struck near the coast of Israel and the Gaza Strip on Sunday, according to the Geophysical Institute of Israel (GII).

The 4.2 magnitude undersea tremor occurred at 10:52:25 AM local time and was recorded at a depth of 30km. The epicentre was located 71 km (44 miles) NW of Tel Aviv-Yafo, 80 km (49 miles) WSW of Haifa, 103 km (64 miles) WNW of Nablus, West Bank, and 125 km (77 miles) NW of Jerusalem.

The United States Geological Survey (USGS), meanwhile, said Sunday’s earthquake measured 4.1 magnitude and was measured at a shallow depth of 10km.

There have been around 25 quakes recorded in the region in the last 6 months, the majority of which have ranged between 2-4 on the Richter Scale. A 6.1 magnitude quake struck in the eastern Mediterranean, southwest of Cyprus, on April 1st last and was felt in coastal regions of Israel.

A number of fault lines divide the Middle-east. Israel is also located in a very unstable geological zone, the Great Rift. It is one of the longest rifts in the world. Stretching 6,000 km, it starts in northern Syria and ends in eastern Africa in central Mozambique. The Dead Sea Rift” (sometimes referred to as the Jordan Rift Valley) is located in modern-day Israel, Jordan and the Palestinian territories.

In May of this year Dr. Ron Avni, a geology professor at Ben Gurion University said that Israel must better prepare itself for a possible strong earthquake in the future. He suggested that legislation should implement the national planning guidelines for seismic strengthening of buildings across the country. •

WHERE ARE WE FRIENDS?
ARE WE READY?
WHAT ABOUT OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS?
DOES THE WORLD EVEN CARE? ......

Apathy Concerning God's Prophetic Word
Brian Thomas: Let's address the end times sign of apathy.
I once heard a pastor state that most Christians today do not feel Bible prophecy is relevant to their present state of their lives and that instead most are concerned about marital issues, employment, health issues, etc. Immediately upon hearing this pastor say this, I was reminded of Matthew 24:37-39 when Jesus Christ stated that in the last days before His return it would be as in the days of Noah when people would not be concerned about what is about to happen. What could be more relevant than our Messiah returning to earth? He's the one who can bring all of these problems to an end — marital issues, health issues, whatever it is — Jesus can bring all of these heart-wrenching issues to an end. So, how can the good news of Christ's return not be relevant?
Isn't this apathy towards God's prophetic word also be one of the signs that happens before the return of Christ?
Nathan Jones: Yes, it's that Church of Laodicea mentality which claims, "We've got it all together and we don't really need you, God. We are just going to keep on practicing Christianity without Christ, thank you very much." Such an attitude is definitely a sign.
The scoffers of 2 Peter 3:1-4 scoff at the very idea that things are changing. It is sad, really. I mean, all this craziness over Mayan calendars and 2012 and crazy stuff like that ironically makes it so that more people who don't know Jesus as their Savior are the actual ones who know something big is coming. But, it's the Church today that sits under their self-created false impression that instead of Jesus we are the ones who are going to conquer the world for Christ in some Post-Millennial viewpoint and then hand the world that is all saved over to Jesus. That is certainly not what the Bible teaches. That is so not what the Bible teaches.
What's also a sad thing is that we kind of think like Laodicea that we spiritually have got it all together. We condescendingly pat Jesus on the arm like a child and say, "Hey, Lord, we are just going to save the world for you and hand it to you on a silver platter and so you are good to go." But, that is just theologically so wrong. Such an unbiblical attitude gives churches this weird sense that they can ignore the 31% of the Bible that is Bible prophecy.
Another reason for Church apathy concerning God's prophetic word is because a lot of pastors just don't know that part of the Bible. I run into a lot of these pastors and other people who cross our path here at Lamb & Lion Ministries, and so we spend a lot of our time helping churches learn and to teach the prophetic part of the Bible. Pastors just haven't been taught a lot about Bible prophecy in the seminaries, which don't teach it as much. These poor pastors just don't know where to begin. They'll see there are a lot of strange end times viewpoints out there which people get from slicing out a verse or two and ignoring the rest of the context, and so it kind of confuses them. I think a lot of pastors whether they like Bible prophecy or they don't like Bible prophecy some are kind of just throwing up their hands and saying, "I can't deal with it because I just don't understand it. I'm going to focus instead on what I do understand." So, I will give these pastors some credit.
Taking the overall pulse of the Church today, though, we can see this great apathy concerning God's prophetic word hanging over the Church right now, even though the signs are everywhere and should provide a greater understanding of God and His plans for us. I've seen pastors who I know are strictly Amillennial teachers, believing there is no literal thousand year reign of Christ coming and that everything will just pan out in the end, but who lately have with the increase in disasters are starting to wonder, "You know, I think maybe there is more to this Jesus coming back sooner than I thought." So, God is starting to wake the Church up a little bit there due to these other signs, and that's encouraging. •
