Who will be taken in the Rapture?
Matthew 7:21-23
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
This passage is not speaking about the Rapture - but I think we can still assume that only true Christians will be taken. Lukewarm Christians will be left behind.
Revelation 3:16
So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Are you a 'real' Christian?
Many 'Christians' want to get to heaven, yet they want to live a mortal life forever. Someone told me those words recently, and it struck me hard because I had just had a similar conversation with a friend in reference to the Rapture and she had responded with "I do not want Jesus to come yet, I have many things I need to do first."
I told her, Jesus is only coming for the people that are ready and waiting for his return. So you need to decide what's more important to you "many things" or Jesus - because you can't have both.
If you say "I was saved a few years ago, got baptized, and joined the Church, but now it's not all that interesting to me, my faith is not what it used to be", then you are in danger of being left behind in the Rapture.
If your pastor told you after you got saved you don't ever have to worry about it anymore, you will go to heaven, then he 'lied' to you.
You must keep a renewed relationship with Jesus. You must fight a good fight, finish the course, and keep the faith if you want to be taken in the Rapture or go to heaven when you die.
He draws all but only those who are open to being drawn will come. •
Why will I miss the rapture if I am not an overcomer?-Rev.Debbie ♥
